Privacy Policy

When you sign in with Google, we store only what is needed to run your account:

• Email address
• Name
• Profile photo (if provided by Google)

We may also store trip plans, guide requests, reviews, and similar content you choose to save on KHOOJ, plus basic technical data such as device/browser type and approximate usage logs needed for security and reliability.

We use your information to:

• Sign you in and keep your account secure
• Sync saved trips and preferences across devices
• Credit discoveries such as Hidden Gems to your name when relevant
• Track local guide requests you initiate
• Improve safety features, search, and trip planning

We do not sell your personal information.

Authentication is handled through Google. We receive an identity token from Google and verify it on our servers. Google's own privacy policy also applies to their sign-in service.

We share personal data only when required to operate the service (for example hosting/database providers), to comply with law, or to protect users' safety. Aggregated or anonymised insights may be used to improve KHOOJ.

We keep account data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us; some records may be retained where legally required or for legitimate safety/security reasons.

We use industry-standard practices such as encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so please use a trusted device when signing in.

KHOOJ is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of KHOOJ after updates means you accept the revised policy.
